EBCO’s first dealer day

Providing an invaluable support event, EBCO has held its first ever technical seminar.  The event which took place over two days gave all the EBCO concessions a chance to learn more about the bikes, their motors and components.

Organised from its Warwick headquarters, EBCO arranged for Tranz-X’s Ken Lin, European Service Manager to spend a couple of days presenting to IBD staff, both mechanics and sales staff.  Covering all aspects of the bikes including battery and motor care and service, overall maintenance and key features and benefits, the event has proved incredibly popular, with just some of the comments from EBCO partners:

Onbike (Kidderminster), Phil Key:  ”The approach to selling an ebike needs to be quite different to selling a traditional bike and today I have learnt exactly what I needed to know.  The event has given me the knowledge to explain why everyone should really consider an ebike and the confidence to answer any questions that may get thrown at me.”

Electric Bikes Scotland (Dundee), Daniel Kochaniuk:  ”The trip down was six hours but it’s been well worth it.  I’ve learnt a lot and it’ll be useful information to share with my colleagues back at store which will hopefully give us an edge, both technically and on the sales floor.”

Rutland Cycles Fineshade Store, Graham Atkins:  ”I’ve learnt a lot today and what has been really useful is getting a better understanding of the battery and range of the bikes.  There’s a lot of skepticism around ebikes and their range and being able to talk directly to Ken about this will give me the confidence to tackle any customer doubts in the future.

“The commitment that EBCO has shown to developing the market will really help us and it greatly appreciated.  It’s not a small undertaking and these guys have certainly stepped up to the mark!”

  2. These dealer days provide vital technical training which enables us to offer our customers a full after sales backup allowing them to purchase with confidence . I believe after sales service is the key to ebike sales
